“Water Cycle Playground”

The water cycle playground is a fun place for kids to play and learn. The concept came as an answer for kids to be free, to imagine and to learn while playing. Taking aspects from geography and bringing them into design was the main objective. The kids act as a drop of water in the water cycle. There are three main areas to the park: the sea of drops, the dreaming cloud and Mt. White tip. From the sea, through three Evaporation Climbers, into the cloud the kids experience an inside view of a cloud. A soft window looks down and one is looking out to the sea platform, allowing the kids to see the world from above. A friendly drop will welcome and give weather information as well as visual description about the forms of water (i.e. snowflakes, hailstone and more). The rain net of drops will carry to the top of the mountain platform, for observation as high point and the blue river slides (one fast, one slow) will lead back to the sea, made of soft blue rubber for safe play. A lightning swing and windy bars are also part of the cycle of water, located underneath the cloud. Most of the parts are rotationally molded plastic and steel bars.
